These homeowners had moved from their beautiful Craftsman style home to a downtown condo with a view of San Diego Bay. They wanted a cool, urban vibe, and were willing to replace their mission style furniture with comfortable, contemporary pieces.
In the living room, we showcased the water view with custom ceiling-mount draperies. Raising the fireplace box and adding an ombre tile pattern to the facade completely changes the feeling of the entire room. Wall mounted cabinetry keeps the design sleek and helps the room to feel bigger.
The kitchen was revamped with cabinets to the ceiling, added pantry pull-out storage, and sleek glass doors to cover the laundry and pantry area. The linear crystal chandelier and Cosentino’s Polar Cap counters add shimmery glam to the space. An open cabinet at the end of the island has an outlet for Kitty’s electric feeder so her dishes are off the floor and at the perfect height for her.
Textured, oversized tile covers the walls in the master and guest baths. We added a special door and access for Kitty’s litter box in the master vanity cabinets. By recessing the medicine cabinet and tall storage into the walls, we were able to create extra storage space.
The master bedroom was painted a rich gray color. Crystal damask wallpaper created a glamorous backdrop for the white headboard with crystal tufting. A floor-to-ceiling shoe cabinet illuminates when the doors are opened. Faux silk, white curtains frame the view of the bay.
We love this modern glam, high rise and are so excited for this hip couple to enjoy their new home!
