old world charm

Portfolio No Comments

Lydia and Charlie dreamed of a beautiful kitchen for entertaining and for hosting the weekly poker game (Lydia has great luck!).  They travel extensively, and wanted a bit of old world feel in their home.  Semi-custom cabinets finished with a glaze, caramel granite with lots of movement and tumbled stone backsplash did the trick.  By sliding the double oven to the left, the range could became the focal point of the kitchen.  Lighted cabinets and textured glass break up the expanse of cabinetry and add soft night-time light.  A mini fridge is located in the island for easy access from the poker table.  As a final fun touch, the wine bottle in the hand-painted tiles over the range includes their last name.
