white kitchen

Sandy could precisely describe her dream kitchen.  After all, she had been thinking about it for years.  She coveted a large farmhouse sink, soapstone countertops, white cabinets and subway tile backsplash.  She longed for a comfortable bright space that would work with the reclaimed brick tile floor that she loved.  And she had to have the range with the red knobs.  Adding glass cabinets and display areas breaks up the bank of white cabinets to create the comfortable feeling she sought.  The garden window sill was raised six inches above the counter to stop runaway spills.  We handpicked the dark gray soapstone counter slabs to patina over time.  Previously, a desk at the end of the kitchen was only used to collect papers and thingamajigs.  We reconfigured it to be a beautiful serving area with stepped cabinets lit to highlight her collection of dishes.
